“tox” is our shorthand for neuromodulator treatments — like Botox or Jeuveau — which are FDA-approved injectables used to gently relax the facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles over time.
Kind of like how “Kleenex” became the catch-all for tissues, “Botox” is often used to describe all wrinkle relaxers. But there are actually several brands, and at Toxie, I use both Botox and Jeuveau depending on your needs.
Tox works by softening movement in targeted muscles without freezing your face or changing how you look — just smoother, fresher skin where you want it.
I typically treat the most expressive areas:
Short answer: very.
There’s no magic number for how many lines it’ll prevent over time, but consistent, well-placed treatments can absolutely soften the development of deeper wrinkles down the road.
If you’re thinking long-term — and want to keep things subtle, safe, and low-maintenance — tox is one of the best tools we have around.
Think of it as skincare that’s focused on your future. There’s no one-size-fits-all age — the right time is when you start noticing lines that stick around after you stop making the expression.
For most people, that’s somewhere between 25 and 30, but every face (and pace) is different.
At Toxie, we focus on softening those early “dynamic” lines — the ones that show when you smile, frown, or raise your brows — before they settle in deeper. If you’re unsure, book a free wrinkle consult. We’ll take a look together, no pressure.
Yes, we use only high-quality organic and natural products in all of our services.
Of course. Faces move. We treat that.
It depends — dosing is both a science and an art. How much tox you’ll need comes down to your facial anatomy, muscle strength, and how soft or expressive you want your results to feel.
At Toxie, I'm all about subtle, personalized treatment. The goal is to prevent or smooth wrinkles without freezing your face — keeping you looking like you, just a little more refreshed.
Every face is different, which is why I always recommend starting with a complimentary consult. No pressure, no commitment — just a thoughtful conversation about your goals and what’ll get you there.
Most people feel totally normal after treatment, but if you do notice slight swelling or tiny marks, it’s nothing to worry about — they usually fade within 30 minutes.
Movement:
You’re good to work out before your appointment, but try to skip anything too sweaty for 24 hours after. Also, stay upright for at least 4 hours post-treatment — this helps keep everything exactly where it’s meant to go.
Alcohol:
To help minimize bruising, it’s best to avoid alcohol 12 hours before and for about 4 hours after your appointment. (Think of it as a short detox for your skin.)
Everyone’s a little different, but most people enjoy their results for 3 to 4 months — sometimes longer.
It really depends on how fast your body metabolizes the product (and your facial movement habits!). If you're super expressive, or if your metabolism runs high, you might notice it wearing off a bit sooner. Totally normal.
Think of it like a refresh cycle — we’ll find the rhythm that works best for you.
